Our speaker this month
Randy Stoker '94 is an assistant US Attorney and will be discussing the federal court.
On active duty Randy flew MH-53E helicopters with Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron 14 (HM-14) in Norfolk, Virginia. He was assigned to the Chief of Naval Operations Staff (N80) at the Pentagon from 2000 to 2003.
Randy attended Duke University Law School from 2003 to 2006. The following year he served as a law clerk to the Honorable James E. Bradberry, United States Magistrate Judge in Norfolk, Virginia.
In October 2007, he became an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia (Norfolk Division) and continues to serve in that position. As a prosecutor, he specializes in cases involving cybercrimes, theft of intellectual property, identity theft, and child exploitation. He has had federal jury trials involving murder, drug trafficking, firearms possession, and child pornography. Additionally, he has handled appellate cases and has argued before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
In 2013, he affiliated with the Navy as a reservist and was accepted into the JAG Corps in 2015. He is currently assigned to the reserve unit at U.S. Fleet Forces Command.
